PRO DAY AT VIRGINIA TECH - UPDATE II

Pro Day Superlatives
The NFL is in charge of conducting these workouts, not Virginia Tech. The league can be "somewhat guarded" with their information. However, our sources tell us:

Brandon Flowers was timed in the forty at 4.51 (will that push him into the 1st Round?).

Josh Morgan turned some heads today (didn't work out at NFL Combine due to injury). Morgan turned in a vertical jump of 40 inches, ran a 4.4 forty, and had a 10'9" standing broad jump.

Duane Brown's offensive lineman workout was termed "impressive." Brown ran a 4.9 forty.

Chris Ellis worked out at linebacker. Justin Harper was timed in the forty at 4.4.

PRO DAY AT VIRGINIA TECH

30 NFL teams are represented today in Blacksburg, with well over 70 of the league's brass at Virginia Tech's Pro Day.

The Hokies seniors participating in these workouts include; Xavier Adibi, Barry Booker, Jared Develli, Jud Dunlevy, Chris Ellis, Brandon Flowers, Justin Harper, Josh Hyman, Josh Morgan, DJ Parker, Carlton Powell, Kory Robertson and Carlton Weatherford. Eddie Royal did not participate due to an injured hamstring, and, an injured knee kept Vince Hall sidelined as well.

Roland Minor and Mike Potts (QB-Wm & Mary), were also allowed to participate.

Some noteables at today's workouts include Mike Tomlin (Steelers Head Coach), Bruce Arians (Steelers Offensive Coordinator and former VT QB), Vinny Cerato (Redskins Director Player Personnel), Joe Bugel (Redskins Asst Head Coach), Donnie Warren (Redskins), Paul Warfield (Browns) and Karl Dorrell (Dolphins).

Virginia Tech will conduct its second Pro Day on March 27th.

When the testing is complete, we'll take a look at the numbers and pass along the superlatives.
